The Auckland Urban Development Office (AUDO) is excited to be returning to the NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi (NZTA) Community Information Day in Drury on Saturday 22 August, providing another opportunity to connect with local residents and share updates on one of Auckland's fastest-growing areas.

Held at the Drury School Hall from 10am to 1pm, the quarterly event brings together organisations involved in planning and delivering infrastructure and services across Drury and South Auckland including NZTA, Auckland Transport and KiwiRail. It offers a chance for the community to learn more about projects underway, ask questions, and speak directly with the teams helping shape the area's future.

Since AUDO attended its first Community Information Day three months ago, there have been some significant milestones for the area, including the opening of the new Drury and Paerātā stations. These additions to the public transport network are an important step in supporting the growth of the wider southern area and improving connections for current and future residents.

AUDO staff will be on hand to discuss how planning is progressing and how infrastructure, transport, housing and investment are being coordinated to support well-planned growth in Drury.

For part of the session, the team will also be joined by colleagues from Auckland Council's Healthy Waters department, giving attendees the opportunity to learn more about stormwater management, flood resilience and the work being undertaken to help ensure development is supported by the right infrastructure.

Community conversations remain an important part of planning for Drury's future. Previous events have highlighted strong local interest in how the area will develop and what changes residents can expect over time.

The upcoming Information Day is an opportunity not only to provide updates, but also to hear directly from the community about what matters most to them as Drury continues to evolve.

The AUDO team looks forward to seeing familiar faces, meeting new residents, and continuing the conversation about building a well-connected, sustainable and thriving future for Drury.

Further information about the Community Information Day is available on the NZTA website.
