Join Us for the Latest Updates at the NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi (NZTA) Community Information Day in Drury.
Saturday, 21 November, 10am to 1pm. Drury School Hall. Young Crescent, Drury.
With major milestones continuing to be announced for Drury, now is a great time to find out what's happening in one of Auckland's fastest-growing communities.
The Auckland Urban Development Office’s Drury New City Programme team is excited to be returning to the NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi (NZTA) Community Information Day on Saturday 21 November, giving residents the chance to hear the latest updates, ask questions and connect directly with the teams helping plan and deliver Drury's future.
The event will be held at Drury School Hall from 10am to 1pm and will bring together organisations involved in planning and delivering infrastructure and services across Drury and South Auckland, including NZTA, Auckland Transport, KiwiRail and Auckland Council teams.
Since the previous Community Information Day in August, there have been several significant developments for the area including confirmation of a future hospital site and acquisition of land for a new primary school site, providing greater certainty about the social infrastructure needed to support Drury's growing population.
This time, we’ve invited our colleagues from Healthy Waters to join us with the interactive Auckland Council Flood Viewer. Theres been strong interest from attendees at previous events wanting to better understand flood plains, flood risk and how water management is being planned as the area develops, so we are expecting this to be a popular addition to our information stand.
One of the most valuable aspects of the Community Information Day is the opportunity to hear directly from local people. Previous events have generated thoughtful discussions about growth, infrastructure and the changes residents can expect as Drury evolves.
Whether you're interested in the latest transport projects, planning for future neighbourhoods, the newly confirmed hospital and school sites, or understanding flood risks in the area, there will be plenty of opportunities to talk with the people involved and get your questions answered.
Can't make it on the day? You can contact the team or sign up for updates by emailing DruryNewCity@aucklandcouncil.govt.nz.
