Auckland Council’s Auckland Urban Development Office (AUDO) is looking forward to attending the next NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi (NZTA) Community Information Day in Drury for the first time on Saturday 23 May at the Drury School Hall, between 10am and 1pm.

These quarterly, expo-style events are a great opportunity for local residents to meet the teams behind many projects underway in the Drury/South Auckland area, find out what’s coming up, and ask questions face-to-face.

With the recent City Regional Deal announcement highlighting Drury as a priority growth area, senior AUDO staff are keen to connect with the community as planning for the area continues to take shape.

While this will be AUDO’s first time attending, previous events have drawn strong local interest and provide a valuable chance for infrastructure project leads to give updates on transport projects, future infrastructure, and how growth will unfold across the area.

There has also been a focus on flood-prone areas and how these are being considered alongside future development, with council staff helping to walk people through the latest information.

Residents have shown strong interest in where and how development will take shape, including timelines and what it means for Drury’s future.

As work progresses, AUDO is focused on bringing together planning, infrastructure, and investment to support well-coordinated growth in Drury, with an emphasis on creating a place that works for both current and future communities.

At the May event, the AUDO team will be there to share updates, answer questions, and, just as importantly, listen. It’s all part of building a clearer picture of Drury’s future together.

Further information on upcoming Community Information Days is available on this NZTA website.
