Matariki community lunch

Come and celebrate Matariki with your community as Everybody Eats host a free lunch at the Onehunga Community Centre. Everyone is welcome, bring your whānau, and enjoy good food and great company.

This event brings together residents, workers, and people facing hardship to sit side by side at shared tables, demonstrating how surplus food can be transformed into nutritious meals that strengthen communities rather than ending up in landfill.

Local group Tāmaki WRAP will be providing plates, cutlery, and glassware to make it a zero-waste event. There will also be entertainment from a taonga pūoro artist. Attendees will also have the option to contribute to a pay-it-forward meal on the day, helping those less able to contribute.
