Northcote Community Market launches this November

The Northcote Community Market will launch in Pearn Place on Saturday 28 November 2026 and run as a 12-month trial, creating opportunities for local businesses, community groups and residents to connect, shop local and support the town centre.

The market is brought to you by a new community-led team, including local Moana McGregor, with support from Auckland Council, Northcote Together, and the Northcote Business Association.

Building on lessons from the successful market trial held last summer, the new market has a stronger community focus and creates more opportunities for local businesses, community groups and locals to get involved.

What to expect

The market will be held on the last Saturday of each month (unless otherwise advertised)  from 11am to 4pm, beginning on 28 November 2026.

Visitors can enjoy:
Local stallholders, fresh goods and community group stalls.
Car boot sales.
Live music and family-friendly entertainment and activities for children.
Products and experiences that complement local businesses.
Easy access to neighbouring shops, cafés, and eateries – with special market day promotions.

The market will be located primarily on the grass area along Pearn Place, so you can also explore everything Northcote Town Centre has to offer.

Become a stallholder

Want to be part of the market? The market team is looking for local makers, growers, community groups, car boot sellers, and locals to get involved.

Complete the stall holder form and the market team will be in touch.

More family-friendly activities this summer

The market is just one of several activities planned to support local businesses and bring more people into Northcote Town Centre this summer.

Kicking off the programme is Digger Day on Saturday 21 November, from 10am to 1pm, giving families a chance to get up close to construction machinery and learn more about the transformation taking place in Northcote.

More free community activities will be announced soon.
