Follow the flavour and taste your way around Old Papatoetoe!

Explore Old Papatoetoe’s main street and discover its local food gems. Visit six food spots, collect stamps and complete the trail to score a limited edition tote bag and a chance to win some prizes!

Papatoetoe Food Trail

How it works

  1. Pick up a card - Grab your free Food Trail card from Papatoetoe Library or any participating businesses.
  2. Visit all 6 spots - Make a purchase at each of the six participating businesses to collect a stamp. No minimum spend.
  3. Complete the trail – Collect all six stamps and return your completed card to Papatoetoe Library.
  4. Get a tote & enter the draw – Claim a limited edition shopping tote bag (while stocks last) and enter the prize draw.

 

Follow the trail

  1. Dozena Ltd – Traditional Filipino breads, sweet treats and savoury empanadas.
  2. La Gare Café – Coffee and café favourites in the historic railway station.
  3. Grand Ceylon – A taste of Sri Lanka, from curries, kottu and roti
  4. Fresh Taste – Fiji-style curries, sweets and snacks.
  5. Bhalla Fresh Bake House – Handmade biscuits, Indian inspired cakes and baked treats.
  6. Chefs Patisserie & Catering – From sweet treats to savoury Indian favourites.

 

Good to know/FAQs

Where can I pick up a Food Trail card?

Pick up a free card from Papatoetoe Library or any of the six participating businesses.

Do I have to complete the trail in one day or in a particular order?

No. Visit the six businesses in any order, between 7 November. Just make sure you return your completed card to Papatoetoe Library by 12pm on 19 December 2026.

How much do I need to spend?

Any spend counts. Make any purchase and collect a stamp.

What happens when I complete the trail?

Return your completed card to Papatoetoe Library to claim a limited edition shopping tote bag (while stocks last) and enter the prize draw to win food vouchers from participating businesses. 

What if the tote bags run out?

You can still submit your completed card to enter the prize draw.

 

Terms & Conditions

One entry per person. All six stamps are required. Completed cards must be submitted to Papatoetoe Library by 12pm on Saturday 19 December 2026. Limited edition tote bags are available to the first 100 people to submit a completed card, while stocks last. All valid entries will go into the prize draw.
