Quattro Alberts has announced a joint venture with Malaysian Resources Corporation Berhad (MRCB) to transform one of Auckland's most significant commercial buildings, Bledisloe House, into Alberts' newest premium workplace destination.
The partnership brings together Alberts’ local market expertise and established premium office suite offering, supported by its members’ club model, with MRCB’s international investment strength and global property and infrastructure development capability.
The project forms part of Quattro Alberts’ long-term strategic investment programme in Midtown. It follows the acquisition of Auckland’s former Finance Centre, which is being reimagined as Exchange by Alberts, as commercial momentum continues to build across Auckland’s City Centre ahead of the opening of the City Rail Link.
Set to welcome tenants from 2027, the development will deliver the curated office environments Alberts has become known for, including a dedicated and expansive wellness centre for members, meeting, collaboration and venue spaces, and a programme of events and experiences.
The project will also establish a new food destination for Midtown, incorporating a mix of premium eat-street style dining options.
These spaces are intended to support the continued regeneration of the precinct by introducing new public amenity and hospitality that enhance the everyday experience of people visiting and working in the city centre.
Located directly outside Te Waihorotiu Station, the flagship stop on Auckland’s City Rail Link, Bledisloe House will benefit from significantly improved rapid transit connectivity once the rail project is complete.
“I’m impressed to see the private sector leveraging the massive investment we’ve made in the CRL and surrounding area. Good on them. This partnership will turn a historic site into a world-class destination, bringing new energy and high-quality jobs back to the centre of our city creating a vibrant, accessible hub where people want to work, dine, and spend their time.”

Mark Gedye, Managing Director New Zealand at Quattro Alberts, says the joint venture represents an important milestone in the company’s long-term investment in the city centre.
“This investment reflects our strong belief in the next phase of Auckland’s city centre evolution and its long-term future. With transformational transport infrastructure nearing completion, the Midtown precinct is emerging as a compelling hub for organisations seeking a central city location, supported by significantly improved accessibility and connectivity for their people.”
“Partnering with MRCB enables us to bring additional global development capability to the delivery of Bledisloe House. Our focus is on creating a high-quality workplace destination that supports business confidence and contributes to the continued revitalisation of Midtown.”
Andrew Barbone, Property Development Manager of MRCB, says the partnership reflects the company’s strategy of investing in globally connected city precincts.
“We are pleased to partner with Quattro Alberts on the redevelopment of Bledisloe House. Midtown is entering an exciting new phase of growth, supported by major transport infrastructure and strong demand for high-quality workplace environments. Together, we look forward to delivering a destination that responds to the evolving needs of modern businesses while contributing to the continued revitalisation of Auckland’s city centre.”
The development will operate under Alberts’ premium office suite model, supported by a members’ club offering that includes shared amenities, meeting and collaboration and venue spaces, a wellness centre and curated programming.
Originally completed in 1959 and designed by New Zealand Government Architect Francis Gordon Wilson and Douglas "Jock" Beere, Bledisloe House is regarded as one of the country's most significant examples of civic modernist architecture.
Named after Charles Bledisloe, 1st Viscount Bledisloe and Governor-General of New Zealand from 1930 to 1935, the building carries a legacy connected to one of the nation's most enduring acts of cultural preservation. Lord and Lady Bledisloe purchased and gifted the Waitangi Treaty Grounds to the people of New Zealand in 1932, helping establish what would become one of the country's most significant cultural and historical sites.
Bledisloe House is scheduled to open in 2027. The project will offer flexible office solutions ranging from turnkey suites to bespoke workplaces for larger enterprises.
