Two of our standout projects have earned top honours at the prestigious World Landscape Architecture Awards.
This showcases the global calibre of landscape innovation within Tāmaki Makaurau, Auckland.

Karanga Plaza Jump Platform — Winner: Small Urban Projects
Located in the heart of Wynyard Quarter, the Karanga Plaza Jump Platform took home the award in the ‘Small Urban Projects’ category. As part of the Karanga Plaza Harbour Pool, this striking new facility offers a safe and exhilarating way to experience the Waitematā Harbour. It embodies the mayor’s bold vision to transform Auckland’s waterfront into a vibrant and welcoming space for locals and visitors alike.
This project was made possible with thanks to our partners: LandLab, Novare Design and McConnell Dowell.
Te Ara Tukutuku — Winner: Conceptual Public Space
Te Ara Tukutuku, also in Wynyard Quarter, was recognised in the ‘Conceptual Public Space’ category. One of Aotearoa New Zealand’s most ambitious landscape regeneration initiatives, the project is revitalising the northern end of Wynyard Point into a stunning new waterfront destination.
Through co-design and applying Mātauranga Māori (traditional Māori knowledge) and science, the 5ha public space is being transformed from its petrochemical past into a healthy and thriving coastal environment.
The project team includes LandLab, Mana Whenua o Tāmaki Makaurau, SCAPE, BECA, Mott MacDonald, Morphum Environmental, Tataki, Uru Whakaaro, Stellar Projects, Fresh Concepts, RCP and RLB.
With over 300 entries from 30 countries, the World Landscape Architecture Awards celebrate excellence across the profession worldwide. This dual success underscores our commitment to creating public spaces that are not only functional and sustainable, but also beautiful—and now internationally acclaimed.
